This conversation led to a mutual agreement on the strategies and measures required to strengthen their comprehensive partnership.
Over the past decade, the partnership between Vietnam and Denmark has exhibited dynamic and effective growth in various domains, including politics, diplomacy, economy, development cooperation, energy, environment, and climate change response, among others.
The Prime Ministers agreed to uphold exchanges and contacts at all levels, enhance collaboration between ministries, agencies, and local governments, as well as effectively implementing cooperative mechanisms, and providing mutual coordination and support in multilateral forums, including the United Nations and the ASEAN-EU cooperation framework.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Cinh expressed his gratitude to the Danish Government for its support in hosting the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) summit in 2025.
Building upon the successful collaboration of the strategic partnership on energy, environment, green growth, and climate change response established in 2011, as well as the newly formed Green Strategic Partnership, an agreement to further broaden the cooperation in the direction of green growth has been reached.
This agreement aims to make substantial contributions towards fulfilling the commitments towards achieving net-zero emissions, aligning with the pledges made at the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (COP26), and with the United Nations’ sustainable development priorities.
After the discussions, the two Prime Ministers endorsed a joint statement formally establishing the Green Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Denmark.
