EVNNLDC, Energinet, and the DEA have developed a deep and enduring friendship, actively supporting each other throughout the cooperation process.
EVNNLDC has received support from Denmark to undertake various cooperative activities, such as study tours and numerous expert meetings on topics ranging from renewable energy forecasting to renewable energy operations, as well as emerging trends like offshore wind energy and carbon credit markets. Additionally, EVNNLDC has had the opportunity to host annual meetings with experts from DEA and Energinet, helping to resolve numerous operational challenges.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Ninh, Director of EVNNLDC and Mr. Peter Markussen, Managing Director of Energinet sign the MoU.
Therefore, the signing ceremony was held to further strengthen the cooperative relationship and enhance the long-lasting, solid friendship between the dispatch units of the two countries in general and between EVNNLDC and Energinet in particular.
The document covers the following contents: Maintaining the energy supply security and enhancing the ability to integrate variable renewable energy (VRE); enabling the transition to VRE and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050; and ensuring that the power system operates in the most socio-economically efficient manner.
The cooperation provides both EVNNLDC and Energinet with the opportunity to enhance the use of renewable energy in their respective power systems, in line with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
2024 holds special significance as it celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam Electricity's traditional day and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the National Load Dispatch Center. It also marks a significant milestone in the friendly cooperation between the electricity sectors of Vietnam and Denmark.
